Kilkenny City, Towns and VillagesThe main attraction in Kilkenny city is our beautiful Kilkenny Castle, a 12th century castle remodelled in Victorian times and set in extensive parkland and was the principle seat of the Butler family - www.kilkennycastle.ie
Eating LocallyThere is a lovely little village called Freshford close to our home and in this village we have four restaurants. There is a pub called "Butlers Pub & Restaurant", an Italian restaurant and a Chinese restaurant. We also have two take aways serving traditional fish and chips (and pizzas and burgers of course!).

Drive OneLeaving the Bungalow Farmhouse ,travel on the R693 rd through Urlingford south to Thurles Now leaving Thurles heading on the R660 for Holy Cross to the famous Abbey Leaving Holy Cross heading on the R660 towards Cashel to Visit the famous Rock of Cashel Leaving cashel and heading on the N8 towards Cahir to visit Cahir castle and the Swiss Cottage
